Currently a consultant and advisor to several educational institutions based on the Montessori Method, she assists administrators in setting up and running Montessori programs, guides trained teachers on classroom strategy, advises a parent on parenting skills and resolution of child-specific problems.
An Invited Speaker on the Montessori Method and Inclusive Education, Mrs. Geetha has addressed diverse gatherings at seminars and workshops organized by the Indian Montessori Training Centre, the Karnataka Parents Association for Mentally Retarded Children, the Spastics Society, the CBR Network, and numerous independent Montessori Houses of Children.
She is also a Guest Lecturer on the Montessori Method and Transitioning from Theory to Teaching. Having addressed trainees at classes held by the Indian Montessori Training Centre, she has also delivered seminars at the Karnataka Parents Association for Mentally Retarded Children (KPAMRC).
Mrs. Geetha, coming in with her immense experience coupled with exceptional skill has authored the course content. Addressing many parenting complexities in a simple yet competent tone and language has been her forte. She has elucidated the composite technical language in a way that it reaches each and every parent who enrolls for this course.
He has done his NLP (Neuro Linguistic Program) practitioner program and Gestalt Therapy training under Dr. Dick Mc Hugh, a world renowned NLP trainer, the man who has created a beautiful and unique blend of spirituality and NLP. Sujay has also completed NLP-K under Krish Srikanth, an outstanding coach, consultant and trainer, who was personally mentored in this field by Dr. John Grinder, the co-founder of NLP.
With a passion to be a part of the child education he started a Montessori House of Children called Growing Wonders. He has been appointed as the Vice Chairman of Indian Montessori Centre – Karnataka Chapter (the only authorized body to recognize Montessori Method in India) and has been instrumental in steering the chapter in a new direction.
He has been a back bone to the team in being available for pertinent advice and decision making all along, right from its origins to the conclusive stages of this course. His progressive vision and vast experience in marketing have proved invaluable during this journey.
A serendipitous encounter with a lecture brought him to the field of Montessori System of Education. Mr. Anantha pursued his education in that direction and after a decade of passionate involvement with the system, he is now the Executive Director of the Indian Montessori Centre and also the Director of the IMTC, Bangalore South. Mr. Anantha appreciates this system as a way of life, as much as he recognizes its technical aspects.
Several important projects have seen daylight under his capable administration and vision. He has also been the backbone in organizing talks, seminars, meetings, workshops, introductory sessions, consultancy services and many such activities across the country, which have proved to sustain and promote the propagation of the Montessori Movement in the country.
He is actively involved in Montessori movement and considers Montessori as a social movement rather than an educational movement. Hence he chooses to offer his services to the public at large through IMC.
Mr. Anantha has been playing a pivotal role in coordinating the activities of the team and leading the members towards achieving his unwavering vision of a Parenting Program. His unconditional support and enthusiasm have been a source of motivation to the team, which has made IMC’s dream a reality today.
Understanding the requirements of the Montessori Method of education, Sharmila adapted well to their principles and delivered rhymes in three languages, English, Kannada and Hindi. Apart from interaction with her children, her continued association with the children in Prerana Montessori House of Children where she worked for seven years helped immensely in this endeavor.
A trained Carnatic classical singer, Sharmila has also lent her voice in rendering these rhymes. Fifty of these rhymes have been composed and released in two volumes of Audio CDs titled “Genuine Gems”.
She has also done translation reviews and voice over recordings in Kannada, for a couple of audio tours for Intach’s city walks. She is also a visual artist.
Sharmila has been the Copy Editor for the program. Her command over the language, critical thinking, eye for detail and a sense of style have added value and depth to the course material. She has also contributed to the course content to make it wider, deeper and wholesome.
